Robert Cassidy, Co-Founder, CEO
Robert co-founded the 7 Summit Challenge in which he will summit the highest peak on all seven continents over the next five years. Robert is working to pass on his love of conquering big things by partnering on the 7 Summit Challenge with the Autism Society, the Alzheimer's Association and the Lance Armstrong Foundation. He plans to use the attention garnered by this adventure to raise funds and awareness for these amazing organizations and the missions they represent. He has already summited Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa and Aconcagua in South America (www.7SummitChallenge.org) and the monolithic laundry pile in his bedroom.
His latest business conquest begun in 2010, ConRadical, melds his favorite causes, his zeal for technology, radical creativity and, frankly, having fun. When he's not furthering along early stage internet projects and his non-profit volunteer work, Robert and ConRadical are developing high-level iPhone apps in partnership with several diversified organizations, like the U.S. Chess Federation, the Arthritis Foundation, and Mongoose Press.
Robert sits, and often stands and moves energetically about, on the National Board of the Autism Society of America where he assists with both strategy and execution to drive all key initiatives for this life-improving non-profit.
Michael Reed, Co-Founder, CIO
Technology-loving Michael Reed was the guy who made computers cool before they were cool with his first purchase of a Texas Instruments TI-99/4A while in high school back in 1984. From the moment he brought that puppy home, it nourished his craving to problem-solve and he quickly realized how the personal computer would—like Oprah—dramatically change the world. After completing his bachelor's degrees from Ohio State University and the University of Akron, Michael held various positions as a computer programmer and IT manager. In 2000, he founded his own custom software development company and quickly turned it into a multi-million dollar a year business employing seven full time programmers and one designer.
In 2010 Michael was approached about starting the app company ConRadical, focused on creating software for mobile devices. Startled by Bob's approach at 2 a.m. wearing a dark ski mask, Michael quickly jumped on board as he saw the opportunities to further challenge his desire to problem-solve, to venture into the new frontier of mobile computing, and to teach Bob better approaching etiquette.
When Michael isn't working, he spends time with his first love, his wife and three children, shuttling the kids around to various activities or just hanging out playing and having fun. He is also passionate about Ford Mustang convertibles and spends way too much time waxing and cleaning his "baby," a 2010 GT, red with a black top. He also enjoys cycling in all its forms, having notched 14 century rides since 2000 as well as teaching a local indoor spinning class.
Mary Hansen, Senior Project Manager
There's something about Mary and the blood of these people at ConRadical. Driven by an almost supernatural love of adventure and technology, Mary Hansen's life work has led her right where she wants to be, capably wrangling a bevy of expert programmers and thoughtfully selected industry specialists, taking each ConRadical project from first thought to final launch. Mary has deep roots in the IT industry where she has culled skills in diverse roles including project manager, programmer, systems analyst, and founder of her own IT support company. She has done everything from website design and management, software development, smart phone and iPad app development, e-commerce solution creation, on-site IT support and customer service. She has not done underwater oil rig repair, although the potential exists to excel there, given her love of conquering edgy, dangerous things.
As project manager for the 7 Summit Challenge (www.7SummitChallenge.org), Mary is a highly motivated and enthusiastic entrepreneur who is proud to be coordinating and planning strategies to raise funds and awareness for the Autism Society, Alzheimer's Association and the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
In her off time, Mary channels her competitive nature into physical endeavors such as marathon running, glacier climbing, long-distance road biking, hiking, kayaking, and travel adventures. She loves volunteering with McLaren Hospital Hospice bereavement support, in-home/respite and children's grief camps. Perhaps her best strength is patience, a year of which will soon yield her a new child, an Entlebucher Mountain Dog.
